Brake Lock Detection in Project CARS with CSP V2

Post by viper4f »

I have some questions for my understanding.
How works the Brake Lock Detection in Project CARS with CSP V2?
I read somewhere that the Shared Memory must be enabled.
Thus Fanaleds gets the information from the Project Cars API, but which Shared Memory variables are used and how does it work exactly?
And the last thing: what changes the "Brake threshold" slider in the settings? The mouse over help says the sensitivity, but what variable threshold is behind this sensitivity - a wheel slip, a wheel grip, a wheel RPM value or something else?

Thanks.

You only have to enable the shared memory. There is no variable in-game that will change the brake lock detection for Fanaleds as far as I know.

The slider is the sensitivity of the the detection. We use a calculation between the speeds of the front and rear wheels. Putting the slider to the right (100) make start the rumble almost directly when you brake. If you slide it to the left, the sensitivity will become lower.

I hope that answers your questions.
