Fanaleds support for Automobilista 2?

Post by zehn77 »

Hello, just throwing this out there, and wondering if there will be Fanaleds support for Automobilista 2 anytime soon?
Automobilista 2 is built on the Madness engine, similar to Project Cars 2, which already works perfectly with the Fanaleds application.
Great product BTW, looking forward to your reply.
Cheers :)

Hello Bose321. Great Software, when can we expect the next update with AMS2 support?

We still have to look into it, time isn't on our side, and we don't own the game. So please wait patiently 👍

If it helps it would appear that right now, at least in respect to the elements required for the LEDs on the SRW-S1 (the only Fanaleds supported device I have to hand), the existing Project CARS 2 support in Fanaleds can do it.

Workaround:

Configure AMS2 to use the Project CARS 2 format shared memory (this might be the default setting, I forget);

Have a process running that matches the Project CARS 2 EXE name, for example pcars2avx.exe. This can be a simple do nothing console app, or maybe make a copy of Notepad.exe and rename it.

Launch AMS2.

Have working LEDs etc :)
