2.2h - Fanaleds Crashes at startup

Post by stricko »

Hi,

I have just started trying to use Fanaleds with version 2.2h and the software crashes almost instantly after starting. I have pinpointed the problem down to a Derek Speare Designs button box that I have plugged in.

Without the button box plugged in both my SLI-Pro and the display on my Fanatec Clubsport Wheel (Formula Rim) appear to work fine, although I have not tested these in game yet as I want to use the button box to. I will mostly be using iRacing and very occasionally Assetto Corsa.

I have followed the debugging steps and have pasted the contents of my lastlog.txt below. This was captured after unplugging my Button Box, starting Fanaleds, and then plugging the Button Box in at which point my devices both go blank.

The button box displays in my Game Controllers list as GP-Wiz40 which appears in the list.

Anyone going to help me with this? Do I need to provide some more information?

We can't really think of a workaround for now. I've contacted Derek for some help, but he hasn't responded yet. We don't have a DSD button box ourself, so it's very hard to find out why it's crashing.

Working on a fix for this, have to trim the USB device support a bit to get this fixed. Takes some time and takes a lot of testing, but first sounds are promising
