It would be great when we could get the PS3 illumination for PC mode.

I'd have to say, excellent idea, my main problem with the GT3 was being unable to keep track of which function i bound to which button. The lights and icons could help a lot.

Unfortunately neither gerben nor me have a GT2, so we can't really test this nicely. But i do think it should be possible, provided Fanatec allows the PC mode to drive the LEDs.

Just a quick try.

Does any of the following programs do anything for you?

https://dl.dropbox.com/u/42508866/tester4.exe

Please let me know if one (or both) display something, and more importantly, if the GT2 leds light up.

The tester function both. On the steering wheel running something like a test on the information display.
Xbox360 illumination flashes briefly
no PS3 illumination

Thanks for testing, unfortunately this means we don't have any means of driving the leds just yet. So we'll try to contact fanatec and ask if this would be possible to add to their SDK.

Is it possible for you to film and post the "Xbox360" illumination? Or is it just one button.

Right, okay, I guess I understand it is not preferrable, but that mode we could work with now. We'll ask Fanatec, but i'll doubt whether it is possible to do the PS3 illumination. I think it has something to do with the mode the wheel is in what LEDs can be driven.
